5-Minute Exam Simulation Mastery Challenge

This is the last and final lesson of the 5-minute category. Over the last fifty-nine lessons, you laid the groundwork and developed the muscle memory to master this keyboard layout’s quirks. The groundwork you have created is now ready; you will now embark upon the Professional Hindi typing Mastery Challenge. This lesson requires you to exercise your physical conditioning, focus and mental toughness to the maximum extent under conditions that simulate the type of certification test you would typically take.

Contracting Your Advanced Skillsets

Completing a 5-minute Exam Simulation without any mistakes, you have to use a variety of techniques. Some of the techniques include:

Minimal Finger Travel: Your fingers are located just above the keys, hovering along with them. This is key for minimization of hand fatigue in the last minutes of the test.

The Visual Buffer: When typing, you must be two to three words ahead of the text, this allows your fingers to keystroke without you having to focus on the words.

Physiological Control: Use slow, steady breathing techniques so your heart remains steady and your movements are un-tensed.

Three phases describe how your brain reacts to extreme constraints like the ones in the 300-Second Test. Knowing how your brain strangely reacts to these constraints will help you manage them and improve how you perform.

Phase 1: The Initial Calibration (0:00 to 0:30): The first thirty seconds are not about speed. Students focusing on speed tend to be panic-filled. The first thirty seconds are about finding a steady rhythm. Start typing at a controlled pace that’s slow just enough to keep you from making errors until your fingers can align with your eyes.

Phase 2: The Cruising Speed (0:30 to 3:30): This phase is the longest and most demanding. Centered around steady progress, maintaining a constant pace becomes crucial. Complex keystrokes that require a multiple key combination are playable in a slow burn if done correctly.

Phase 3: The Final Stretch (3:30 to 5:00): During the final phase, people typed at a deteriorating pace, with their speed and rhythm disrupted. The final stretch is known for the fatigue of the people typing and the deteriorating, disrupted, and tired rhythm with which they typed. A strong, steady finish is always better.

The Post-Test Assessment Metric

Did you make errors in the middle of the session? Work on your stamina. Did you make errors at the end? You need to work on your focus.

Completing the 60-lesson curriculum has given you the stamina and focus to type professionally. These are the tools you need to help you in your typing certification.
